Yeah yeah, 5 years behind getting Bacardi Breezers, The bold and the Beautiful blah blah

Australia is banning smoking in public places in inner cities in shopping precincts.

Banning smoking within 4m of public buildings, taxi ranks, bus stops and this is due to passive smoking.

This has been going on for years yet theres no vaping thing here yet.

Apparently its healthier and without all the other shit thats not nicotine.

Theres nothing available except on the internet and its expensive.

Theres no laws to contain vaping.

    Are we backwards?

    Of course we are.

I suspect its because our govt gets so much tax dollar per smoke we would go broke if we all quit and vaped.

How is vaping taxed in the USA?

Forgive my first intrusion here as Im a noob.

Vaping is way more prevalent in Victoria than WA, i've noticed - which is primarily because the WA state govt under Colin Barnett banned vape shops.
Not just nicotine vape juice - but the whole works.

Yep, it's utter bullshit. Guess what? The Liberal Party are beneficiaries of the tobacco lobby's political donations.
That - as far as i'm concerned - is the answer; backwards, reactionary politicians who ban anything resembling a vice (or drug consumption) with no concern for - or thought given to - the consequences.

Also, cigs are very, very highly taxed in Australia as you know.
As much as the govt want people to quit - they also don't want people to choose to use an alternative to tobacco that isn't so heavily taxed.
Tax brings in a lot of revenue, and Big Tobacco helps pay for the major political parties' election campaigns, hookers and stomped-to-shit coke.

I don't think it's illegal to buy vaping gear from interstate or overseas though...
