maybe we should come up with a catchy name for a hub of harm reduction on reddit

I like @Ketamania 's idea, /r/BluelightOFFICIAL or maybe something catchy without BL in the name

/r/DrugAdvice or something

I think we would attract a lot more people without BL in the name, something more relatable
There are tons of generically named drug subs though.

BL is such a well known presence...whybdo you think leaving the name out of the reddit sub is a good idea?

I'm talking about selling out, appealing to the masses

I don't think BL is very well known to the gen Z

I'm just thinking pure numbers here
True....but it would he good to connect it back to this site somehow to direct traffic here because reddit is just a PC ban happy site that is so hard to moderate that its kind of a shit show. so they just ban everybody permanently for almost nothing. And the volume of troll and misinformation posts is hard to weed out.

I was permabanned twice from reddit.

1) I used the word retard
2) I said abortion should be legal regardless of whether the fetus has a consciousness.

A bunch of strung out drug users aren't going to last long on reddit so the goal is to get them here asap I would say.

Use these.

Make a rule of these as much as you feel like either nodsquad or tweakahontasGOTTApost!

This is in my cache here. I didn’t finish the post I think but the point is Bluelight should absolutely named as abluelightforum page in every pages name,

r/BluelightForum just like the twitter and the instagram to be cohesive. Then rig up ways and a culture to cross post and / or encourage registration at least. Maybe something to entice users like an AMA with a short but poignant description of the history, online since ‘99. Some Xenforo add on to turn on some Knick knack for Reddit registrations.. and a little loudmouthing in other drugs reddits, quoras, and every BL media page. Should be doable within a couple to few hours if everyone’s on board.

Bluelights presence as well regarded in the upper echelon of drug policy, research, internationally, and it’s current community being perfectly good with gen z it fine. Just getting all media accts more active and communicating with other sites and agencies is key, while keeping a steady stream of good content too.

@TheLoveBandit @Tronica I’ve already made all my comments to meta possible, but you guys still doing that change? Googles upcoming algorithm and SM in general are more receptive to full written disclosure and scan all content deeply. Googles go big to be homogenizing 75 languages of sites on the fly and creating its own answers too. That can bury the more niche sites which don’t keep up. AdWords too. Research agency. Harm reduction in drug use for HEALTH.

I just got a gig as social and comm manager for centre for evidence based management. Look at their site https://www.cebma.org and look at how it’s kind of vague who they target. They have developed a university course which is currently in a Canadian university, they’ve worked with police, health care, even a harm reduction person, and have written a book. I’m going to be pressing a similar issue on them with their site needing to be more specific, full disclosure, front and backend, and impactful, with alliances with other sites and healthy back links. Google isn’t killing anyone, people aren’t keeping up.

absolutely, there are no real harm reduction subreddits

It's just general drug places where 80% of the posts are from clueless 16 year olds giving drug advice to 15 year olds.

It's actually a really bad echo chamber for bad drug advice
r/meth is the worst. It’s just a bunch of people posting videos of themselves “blowing clouds” all day long. People often brag/post videos of themselves doing insane amounts, like 1/2g+ hotrails. Yeah, cool, you’re blowing your brains out! There’s virtually no HR over there, it’s sad 😞

If you're ever bored go into r/kratom and call it an opioid agonist or a drug and watch the fireworks.

Fucking kratom cult in there.

Oh boy, just the other day I nearly got banned from r/kava for having the gall to ask a question about a natural kava extract. They told me to look at how addictive kratom is, referred me to some bullshit r/kratomaddiction and deleted my post.

I was honestly shocked... apparently they only allow posts about pure, unadulterated natural kava "Noble kava", because of course extracting it is similar to drug abuse and they aren't drug users

apparently /r/kava hates the people in /r/kratom who then hates the people in /r/opiates :ROFLMAO: shifting stigmas I guess

Making tea is extracting.

Wtf are they doing munching on whole root?

from what I understand they only talk about ground root made into a beverage (with water/milk/saliva/lecithin [extract lol]), technically not extraction I guess because there is no reduction

but ethnobotanical drug use is somehow distinct from regular drug use to them
