Television What TV Shows are You Binging v. Cut That Cord!

I'm binge watching Mr. Robot for the 3rd or 4th time... absolutely love this show. Certainly in my top 3 shows of all time.

The soundtrack is really underrated I think. It's different, but brilliant.

This sounds cool. Right up my ally. I’m going to have to check it out.

Shantaram is good. Makes me wanna go to Bombay.

Haven't seen The Witcher yet but it's on my list.
The Witcher is great.

By the way, sorry for multiple posts. I haven’t learned how to quote more than one reply at a time yet. I feel stupid 😂

Those two were definitely the weaker of the latest Star Wars series. Andor is carrying them right now IMO.

I'm watching an 8 episode Polish series called 1983 right now. Actually quite interesting so far.

And Trailer Park Boys for when I'm eating or just want background noise.
I really liked Obi-wan Kenobi. But then I am a huge Star Wars fan.

I very highly recommend The Peacemaker. It’s a spin off of suicide squad but so so much better and funny as hell.

I also recommend Doom Patrol very very highly. One of my favorites but very very dark. It has so many mental health aspects to it. It’s based off the DC comic. Excellent show. Warning: very dark but very good and has some good humor in it but it’s most excellent and mostly dark.

Both of these are on HBO.

All good man, I got you :)

If you're on a desktop it's fairly simple, there's a quote button in the bottom right corner of each post that allows you to multi-quote. Or, you can highlight segments of posts you want to quote, and hit the quote button that pops up. This allows you to quote specific sections of posts to your writing section at the bottom, which I know you can also do on phones.

It was decent, I didn't dig the Leia subplot though. I guess my beef with Star Wars lately is the kid-friendly nature of it, which Andor shied away from. I was also hoping Kenobi would have way more stuff regarding Qui-Gon Jinn. I got more Qui-Gon material out of the six episode short series Tales of the Jedi (very good btw).

It works pretty well on phones, too.

Watching Gun Smoke through.

Dillon can be a bit mutch but there's a lot to like about Festus Haggen. Everyone's favorite wolfer.

If you're tripping right now and you're interested in having a bad trip, the actor that plays Festus does an interesting cover of Tumbling Tumbleweed that's available online. Difficult to sit all the way through, but rewarding all the same.

I'm beginning season 5 later on. This is really a brilliant show, but too emotionally savage for an actual binge watch. I still love it, and the actors/characters are BEYOND amazing.

(House of the Dragon is also fucking brilliant)

Been watching the show You on Netflix lately which has been really good. My girlfriend turned me onto it, about this serial killer. But he is such a likeable guy so you kinda are empathetic towards the character. Im almost done with the 1st season.

Funny enough I am in the middle of season 4 right now. I thought the first two seasons were ok, a little creepy. By season 3 it gets hilarious and much better. I think that was the best season so far but we will see how 4 is.

You know I need to do that too. I haven't seen Babylon 5 since it was on the air.
It’s currently only streaming on HBO. They did a 4K scan and remastered it. I’ve been watching it on a DVD box set I bought a few years ago now but it was not cheap lol, much cheaper to buy a month of HBO! For some reason the remastering displays in 4:3 even though the show was filmed in 16:9. My dvd set is the wide format, but some of the CGI scenes look extra potato lol

@Cream Gravy? im currently on season 2 of the expanse and loving it! Great show... kinda reminds me of firefly
I never got past the first season of that one for some reason. Everyone I talk to says it’s mad decent so I don’t know what I’ve been waiting for lol

Perhaps there is comfort in familiarity. I’m in a stressful few years of my life right now and novelty has not been the name of the game.

Plus my tv watching is dictated by my wife’s interests lately so that has created an extra barrier to novel sci-fi 🤔

i thought I remembered you talking about how great it was sometime in the past. thats my benzo brain lol

Just started watching Fleabag. It's funny. I liked the first episode more than the second. It seems like a bit of a one-trick pony. The show has a (somewhat) unique voice, but if they just keep pushing the same button, I will lose interest quick.

Also watching: The Other Two, The Rehearsal (Nathan Fielder's new show) and How To With John Wilson (because it is produced by Fielder).
