I was on it for 17 months I hear tot doesn’t matter how many shots you get but idk.. I’m glad you’re recovering is your cognitive abilities and motivation coming along?
Yes, both my cognitive ability and motivation are coming back. I am still not able to create a conversation with new people however. I do have thoughts in my head again though. I also go to the gym and take care of myself, so the motivation is improving.

When we recover from invega, we still have to deal with the underlying issues that got us injected in the first place. I don’t want to suffer a relapse and will make some changes as to not fall back into old habits. I have this underlying anxiousness/paranoia I need to deal with. Reducing stress will help I think. I don’t want to be on meds in the long term.
To be honest, I would rather have psychosis than be in the worst of invega.

Hey guys. Do you think this poison permanently blocks dopamene? Its not permanent? What do you think?
I don’t think it’s permanent. If a medication has a half life it means it is exiting your system as we speak. It is just because the half life is so long it feels like an eternity. I compare it to a bad trip on acid or shrooms. It can feel like forever. And you don’t know the bad trip will end until it happens. The drug eventually wears off and yo go back to normal. It’s just a matter of when you go back to normal. Could be 8 months could be 2 years.

I’m very rare cases it is permanent. And if it is permanent, that person recovers most of what they lost.

You deffinetly see your dopamine coming back right?

What do you mean?

That’s impossible. If it was permanent then this would be a miracle drug for heavy addicts to cure them from from the disease. If they cannot feel pleasure from heroin or alcohol, then they would stop.

Also, If it was permanent we would only need one shot.

I’m very rare cases it is permanent
I strongly believe those that say they never recover have other issues, it’s not because of the drug.

No way in hell would doctors all across the entire world administer a drug that causes severe permanent side effects.

This forum would be full of enraged patients, they wouldn’t simply disappear like narshe and the others. Instead, we have people like paranoid android come back once in a while to give us motivation and hope because it gets better.

Maybe some rare side effects are permanent. It can cause man boobs from the prolactine.

But for those of us that have been treated for less than 3-4 years, we have nothing to worry about except the problems that landed us on the shot in the first place

I do believe some things will never be the same. Maybe a higher tolerance for substances, less moodswings, maybe other things idk.

However, I think the last 10% (from 90% to 100%) of recovery will take ages. Some side effects will linger.

That said, I already feel much better and I still have invega in the blood. I will do a blood test next month to figure out what dosage is left.

I’m much more concerned about my psychosis than the side effects of the drug.

Some people on reedit who i have contacted also say they have fully recovered and feeling better than before invega

Dirtyinvega is the one with the youtube right? He claims he got crippling side effects. I for one don’t buy his tales and think he is a crybaby hypocondriac. What makes him so special that only he couldn’t stand in the shower? Anybody else get that side effect? If it’s true then he has some other underlying condition. Invega isn’t chemo.

Most of the users in previous threads are conspiracy nuts anyway, they think doctors are evil and try to poison us. No wonder they have psychosis.

Either that or a heat of the moment thing when they were at their worst part of recovery. We’ve all been there

Btw, I just finished another 6 mile run today. I’m completely fine physically. I don’t want fearmongerers like dirtyinvega scare the crap out og future users of this forum

You’re talking about someone else. Dirtyinvega has been on this version of the thread. He still can’t cry and has emotional bluntness. Aussie fellow.

He’s a very rare case. I think invega makes you look at the world differently. Full recovery is possible. Almost everyone becomes functional again. But I don’t think I will look at the world the same if I do fully recover, so it will be different.
