A history of methamphetamine use may also put people at risk. Methamphetamine constricts the blood vessels, which is one of the properties that contributes to pulmonary damage and pulmonary hypertension in people who use it. Clinicians should be prepared to monitor the possible adverse effects of methamphetamine use, the prevalence of which is increasing in our country, when treating those with COVID-19.

I find this almost offensive, I have hypertension but I have a familial history of it.

I also know people with phenomenally normal or low blood pressure who use it.

But if there is ANY TRUTH in this... I'm glad I posted it.

Here's a study from the Lanclet (A well respected Medical Journal) that describes what you are discussing C H.

It has to do with the ACE2 enzime which is common to hypertension, diabetes and the the Covid-19 virus's ability to enter human cells in order to reproduce.
