Trump is back hah.
I think he'll go back to tweeting soon enough, if he runs for president he should, who cares about that stupid app he's on.

He's still got some good stuff in him though, I bet he hasn't changed one bit

I love Elon Musk, mainly because he enjoys fucking with people. 😅

What a time to be alive.

Or maybe for many it isn't as much about left v right as you think.

Elon has been doing things at a whim, in like a week so many advertisers left already. It can be all wokey wokey but maybe it's about the money. I'm pretty sure Elon will eventually land on pretty much all the same things that Twitter landed on themselves (minus that direct line to the White House re covid and that hunter Biden dude hah).

Would you stay? Work long hours for Elon who is clearly very far from a genius, while you can get a job pretty much anywhere?

would I stay if 50%+ of my colleagues left? I wouldn't do that for any employer.

would I go work for Twitter now? If it was a good offer and I didn't have to go to SF...

Exactly and he gave them a clean out...

Just re-read your post and you're right in that he did eliminate all possible "saboteurs", that's true at least, well except the ones on work visas but who knows how plenty they are.

Anyway, he's still done a terrible job of all this, it'll get proven right in the quarterly revenue reports :) it's a shame we'll have to wait so long.

It seems like an obvious choice for most people, whether or not to stay at Twitter...they can quit, get severance pay and pick up another, maybe better (most likely better re: working conditions) job immediately. I don't think it has much to do with ideology in most cases, it's just that people see they have better opportunities elsewhere and take those opportunities

Indeed, now I don't know if you've seen some of these tiktoks about a day at work at some of these large tech companies, the working conditions and benefits are quite extreme =D I bet Twitter was amazing to work at.

I used to bang on Twitter myself for so trigger happy with the banning and stuff, and they were definitely way out of line sometimes, but I read some long Twitlonger at like the start of the year explaining that generally these businesses only care about the money. I think that makes sense. Elon made the same mistake, going in thinking it was all these wokey wokey types being incompetent but it has (and will) become clear that they just knew better how to run things in this world.

How many of those are subscription based?
I have YouTube premium but thats amazing value for money.

Twitter is still one of the best social mediums imo, I hope it remains mostly the same.

Twitter is tedious. Nobody responds to any of my deep, searing and incisive insights. It's tumbleweed town. The only voices that get traction are the boring ones who drone on about boring things from boring normie perspectives.

Here's something of note, Tumblr CEO has announced they're going to support ActivityPub, which is the open protocol that Mastodon and some other platforms use.

I'm really hopeful this is the future for social media. The protocol is sort of like email, which means anyone can connect to anyone. It's a throwback to the era when the web felt more free and futuristic.

Correction - Automattic CEO... owners of WordPress and Tumblr

Agreed, I have always disliked Twitter. It's like the lowest common denoinator of social media. How could anything worthwhile be said in more than 140 characters, anyway?? tl;dr, amirite? If I have to pay attention to one thing for more than 4.5 seconds, it's not worth my time.

He's also IMO actually Importantly not just more as ultimately Twitter matters not is only a distraction and conditioning tool as well, being an actual Cyborg though other hand, mmm that concerns me lol....

ONE of his companies (not the one seemingly genuinely and seriously missioned with reaching Mars establishing base then colonising the entire known Universe)...(or the self driving car one)....(or the self flying plane one, actually they might be part of SpaceX? who also have contracts to plaster the orbit with satellites, while....

His OTHER company, forreal, speed ahead building the chip for about (ahem "agenda...) 2030.

But v recently too, his new Crypto platform designed for anybody not yet acquainted with making big money from Crypto.

For everybody, and anybody is the concept & selling point.

You virtually just sit back and guess who makes your millions?

An A.I. !

Can't even make it up. Gonna be so handy in the long run. Like the 6 + satellites being built and orbited per day soon Earth wide network no weak spots. A.I. needs this too.

Meanwhile, the focus in the press remains on his little Twitter expenditure and court tiffs.

Which is perfect, again.

He's a SUPREMELY dangerous man, and Twitter is the last thing in my mind thinking about. Elon Musk.

Just randomly seen this.

How Musk plans to terraform Mars.

By nuking the sky at pole sites every few seconds.

I tell you he's serious plans and objective.

But in no way benevolent that's again just how it's dressed up, him self too, kinda humanitarian regular ish v smart guy. If he was not serving A.I.'s rapid technological advancement and doing everything to make it more attractive, rewarding....finally required! To "participate" in future society, chipped. But he is.

It IS the goal.

I often say... Good Elon Bad Bill.

Anyway..

It's 280 characters now.
It's the best, I'm telling you, and you can have plenty of in depth discussions about things. Its all a matter of who you follow.

Show me any semi popular social medium which isn't all about short videos, comments whatever. Lowest common denominator is way off imo...

Well you dont have to care about traction and just enjoy the small, insightful & fun communities/people

Fair enough. It's worth noting I just really don't like social media in general. Maybe I'm just too much of an old man, and want it to get off my lawn, I don't know. I just don't like the effect that it has had on society, overall.

Tell me again this cunt is not an establishment frontman. Not being allowed to question 9/11 is the absolute litmus test for whether you're human or a whore of Satan.
Hahah, too much credit man! Musk doesn't ever know what the hell he's doing, except when pumping stocks
