I know, right! Get your applications in good people! I've been shit of late due to a rather nasty little lapse that winded up in my first snowball the other day.

Fuck I need to knock this behaviour in the head sharpish. I'm over a week clean of everything again and feeling better at least thank fuck! I'm probably getting a disciplinary from work for my current conduct and am broke as a joke, but other than that no permanent harm hopefully.

Need to watch those benzos man. They make me irresponsible as fuck.

Might get super horny and sociable and probably off his food. He must have liked it if he ate 88 pounds of it.

EADDers probably know that there's been studies done on rats and cocaine etc. Given the choice between cocaine and food or water they will chose cocaine over the other things every time until they die in short order. They've even mocked up electrodes direct to rats brains that were supposed to stimulate the effects of cocaine, and again no surprise they kept on nudging those electrodes for the rewards, and neglecting food and water until death.

Fortunately there doesnt seem to be much point repeating similar types of experiments now. I think we can guess the results across all species.

The experiments were carried out on isolated rats in stark clinical conditions.

When experiment was repeated, they changed the environment to a kind of rat-heaven...fllled with things that made the rats feel safe, secure and stimulated..they had really cool rat living spaces, great ratfood, potential matets etc etc...and then the rats did not choose the coke... which tells us something pretty important eh

I didn't know that. The textbook I read didn't mention the follow up experiments. But that is good to know.

It was a 'basic psychology for first year university students' text book. Maybe it was over-simplified for first year students. Probably was tbh. It could also have been the time period that I read it in, as maybe the follow up studies had not been done at that point, round about 1991.

(Or maybe it's just my memory letting me down after learning a bit about something so many years ago)

Thankfully, EADD is in the capable hands of Mr.Battler so it ain't gonna go to shit...

As for the monarchy debacle of late; what bothers me is that Charlie's gonna pop his clogs before too long so we're going to have to go through the whole shit show again... :eek:
