I was five minutes late on getting a free (original) Hammond organ today. The guy who's studio it is had already literally JUST started destroying it to take it apart to go to the dump 5 mins before I asked if I could have a shot of it - I didn't know he was trying to give it away as it was my first time rehearsing there he had been advertising it for months he said....😆 woulda been so cool even if it did need some repairs - they're expensive to buy and people rent them out.

@blondin good question and couldn't even tell you as I didn't ask/not sure if it was sitting there or not. It all happened so fast as I couldn't wait to get out of the room - after seeing him continue to rip it a part right in front of me 😭lol.
I love stuff like that in general because of how old it is it's a shame it's getting scrapped. There's this place you can go here that's like going back in time takes you back to the 50's, 60's, 70's and 80's - its real houses of that time with all the proper decor and furniture etc it's so cool man. The 80's house has an Atari with that mad tennis game on the TV 😆

Leslie's are what gave the organ such a rich sound. I was working In a studio years ago and the was a set up there, amazing to play ..channeling Jimmy Smith lol. Also there is a museum in shoreditch called the Geffyre that has rooms decked out in different decades
