I was on 75mg in Sept 2021. I dropped 10mg every ten days starting on 70mg at a private Dr office (clinic was giving the 75mg dose). Then the second month I went down 10 every two weeks (at this point I was on 50 script was written for 40mg (4 10mg pills every day) then 30mg for the other two weeks in the month (October). I was then on 90 mg Morphine equivalent which translates to 30mg methadone which is a legal dose in Mississippi to be prescribed privately (I'm disabled with cerebral palsy, and have chronic osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis which made me eligible for the private Dr in my state)
Fast forward to Feb 2022 and I'm taking 10mg a day but the script is written for 20mg a day. Even this taper schedule was and is hell. I have gabapentin, clonodine and kpins to help but this schedule sucks and it's by choice. See if your clinic will taper you so you don't have to suffer so much. It's really not worth it.
