Let's get to the point,

I'm not a regular consumer, I only consume like once every two or three months, so what's happening to me is very very rare.

Last April, I went to a techno party and took half an MDMA pill (untested). The pill was a Black Green Dom Perignon.

Everything was fine, the high was great and lasted for 4 hours, and the comedown was very smooth.

Through all the night, I didn't feel that anything was off or odd. Everything was great, and I was having lots of fun on that party, partying, talking to people, etc...

The day after I slept all day, and the day after that day I had the hangover, so everything was as expected for me.

It all began the third day: I woke up dizzy and with an upset stomach, and when I wanted to walk, I had some kind of trouble walking, like the floor was moving side by side. But I didn't gave it much importance, and I thought that I didn't sleep well, so I went to sleep that day, and the morning after, it was the same, but less, so I though I was recovering from it.

The week passed by, and the upset stomach and the dizziness were continuing, plus I was starting to have trouble concentrating.

I decided to rest a lot, but It only got worse, and is still getting worse as months pass by, to the point that now I have all of those symptoms:

- Tension on my head that worsens day by day.
- Very difficult to focus on things.
- My eyes hurt.
- I have red eyes and the veins are very noticeable (my eyes were white as milk before all of this happened).
- My eyes are itchy from front and back.
- Before all of this, my vision was perfect, now I even have to wear glasses to work, because my vision is blurry and I see double when focusing on little letters.
- It doesn't matter how many hours I sleep, I wake up like if the night before I went out to party.
- My muscles hurt, most and foremost the neck, back and shoulders.
- Balance problems.
- I have the head very hot, so hot that I get goosebumps on my arms.
- I feel very disoriented.
- Due to the tension on my head, I got tinnitus.

I'm very concerned because between 2014 and 2018 I did a LOT of MDMA and never experienced something like this. I usually recovered within 2 days. That's why I think I have been poisoned or that the pill had an unknown substance that's causing all of this.

Before this I loved my job. Now I have to do a tremendous effort to go through my day at the office, and I even got the sick leave to rest, in hopes that the symptoms would go better, but symptoms are getting worse day by day.

During those months I went to several doctors to do several Blood Tests, and even a brain MRI, but the results were unremarkable, everything was normal, and obviously the doctors that it is psychological, but it feels too physical to be psychological, plus the red eyes confirm that there is some kind of pressure going on in my head.

I'm really scared of what my future beholds. I don't really know what to do.

The hypocrisy is that I don't even do drugs that much, so I'm very very frustrated. I know people that have been done way more drugs than me an they're in perfect shape.

So, the question is, have I been poisoned by this mdma pill? Or I had a toxic reaction from taking it?

And please, if anyone knows of anybody that has experienced the same thing, please just comment what they did do, in order to solve the situation, or if anyone has some kind of recommendation of what should I do or what kind of doctor should I visit, please comment it too. Any kind of information would be much appreciated.

Very odd.

I'd ask for another MRI and cat scan.

Hopefully it's not an underlying health issue but it is very possible the drs overlooked something.

Any other pre existing conditions? Medications or supplements? Family history?

If it was indeed from the MDMA, it should have subsided quickly and not got worse.

The drug is long gone from your system at this point, so it may indeed be a psychological issue which CAN indeed happen from certain drug IE serotonin syndrome (which I don't believe can be checked via blood analysis, unless that has changed in recent years)

I hope you get better and I hope you follow up with us

Sorry to hear man. I would personally recommend taking various supplements and multi vitamins. Your body may have 'used up' what little it has left of some vitamin or mineral from the body load of mdma and your body is having trouble regulating because it's lacking this certain nutrient.

Go get every vitamin and mineral you can think of. There's usually ones that contain almost everything. Do mineral and vitamin. Could be zinc, magnesium or iron deficiency.. Among many others. Also get some NAC and start taking it.

If you are already doing similar to this, look over all your stuff and see what you are missing.

It's worth a shot. I know my body is very good at telling me I need certain nutrients, I will absolutely salivate and my thoughts consumed by certain food. Ie eggs, or beef. I'll often feel a bit dull and lethargic or just generally like shit until I get that desired food source.

In this world doctors often won't even consider that this is the problem and assume everyone eats a well balanced diet. Truth is even with a balanced diet it's very easy to get a deficiency in a vitamin/mineral/nutrient.

I personally think and based on my experience as a heavily daily user of a sort variety’s of amphetamines including MDMA and some research are not the source of your symptoms, but I’m not a doc, it’s just a opinion.

Some people didn’t know they suffer from hereditary or unique conditions, amphetamine use, even if it’s one hit could derive to serious problems like stroke.

Got to be very careful today as allot of so called XTC pills are ramped up with Crystal Meth chopped finely and pressed. Back in the day orders I got tend to have amphetamines mixed in and when testing got rainbow effect colors. This is a sure way to be SAFE if anyone goes out and just cops some unknown tablets. At least bring one test vial if you can spare little cash. Not good idea at all anywhere just trust people . :bean:😉

Exactly as @G_Chem said this is XTC long term comedown. There is a thread for this if you search for MDMA LTC in the search bar. The best thing you can do is to not panic or catastrophize the situation because it becomes a negative feedback loop. Stay positive and know that you will heal in time. Brisk exercise, eating well and getting plenty of sleep is the best course of action. Also the vitamins and supplements @moonyham mentioned might be helpful.

I suffered the same thing from MDMA but probably worse back before anybody knew what it was called and it wound up leading to a wicked opiod addiction because it's the only thing that would calm me down and allow me to feel normal.

I did heal in time and that's the thing you need to remember. The human brain is an amazing organism with a built in plasticity to heal itself. You will get better.

My honest opinion is that MDMA is a horrible drug. In and of itself it is toxic in my opinion. It's effects on the human brain and endocrine system are horrible and these protracted LTC stories are all too common(anxiety, depression, panic attacks DP/DR, brain fog and learning deficits). Yeah it feels great but too many people play down the dangers of MDMA.

I personally would never take the drug again and I'm a life long poly substance user, who has had a run with them all. MDMA had some of the worst side effects, consequences out of all the substances I have ever used.

What ever you do don't let worry or panic consume you because it feeds on itself and will slow and delay the recovery process. You're going to be fine. You'll be tip top shape before you know it, especially since you don't use other drugs and haven't dosed a lot of MDMA.

I would try to find the vendor/dealer that sold that and try to get some other pill for testing, I know that it would be almost impossible but that's the only way you can get to be totally sure it was the pill and not anything else (I don't doubt it is, but that way you'd find the specific shit that is poisoning you)

Woah, that's quite some feedback.

First of all, I updated the post, describing all of my symptoms and explaining them in detail, so if anyone is interested, just re-read the post.

Thank you all for responding. I'll respond to everyone as well as I can.

@Endopharm : Take in consideration that the MRI has been seen by both the radiologist and the neurologist, and both said that it was strictly normal. But since the MRI, my symptoms had worsened so yeah, maybe I'll should get another one just to make sure. I'll for sure follow up with you guys.

@jose ribas da silva : I'm sorry to hear that too. I've been very anxious since then too. But it feels too physical for me to only be anxiety or depression. I also booked an appointment with a psychiatrist to see if we can work it out.

@moonyham : Thank you very much for recommending this. I'll definitely try to get those vitamins and eat them to see if I can improve a little bit. Thank you very much.

@cdin : I also did several COVID tests but they were negative. Thanks for the comment tho.

@hardtack : Yeah, now that I know that pills should be tested before, I feel so irresponsable for not testing the pill before.

@G_Chem : Didn't know about that. I'll investigate it to see if this is what I have. Thank you very much.

@somnilicious : Thank you very much for the cheering up. I'll try to stay positive and be as healthy as possible, but sometimes is very hard because this pressure on my head is killing me and its like somebody is strangulating me. This scares me so much, because it really feels like the blood flow in the skull is not working properly. I hope its only a long time hangover, but for now things are getting worse and worse. And what surprises me the most is that from 2014 to 2018, I did a LOT of mdma on raves and festivals, and I always recovered in two days. That's why I think there was another substance on the pill I took that's causing all of that, because I never felt like this before. I'll keep you updated.

@Neuroborean : yeah, I tried this too, but there are no more pills like mine, and even if they were I cannot be sure that them had the same exact substances that the pill I took unfortunately.

Again thanks to all that responded me. I felt very alone with this, but at least now I have people that is helping me, even if its online.

I also booked an appointment with a doctor that knows a lot about drugs, and I have to see him on August 1st. I'll keep you all updated.

Best regards.

could be COVID just from being out smashed into folx
great point today if your unwell first do a rat test.

This is spot on for MDMA induced DP/DR, or also known as LTC (long term comedown).

-GC

never knew of this but for sure I can say ive been there too.

I cant even take the stuff anymore.

it has taken a long time to gain my emotional stability as well though I am still of the opinion that it is one of the drugs that needs to be legal.

not everyone is as stupid as me and overdoes it and I have met more people who have not had problems than have had.

mostly down under its burnt out meth addicts.

if your having problems stop taking it as it will only get worse with MDMA.

really if I had my time again I would hit it hard for a little bit then never touch it again as the feelings you get only get diminished over time.

Think most pills contain a rainbow as someone put it. Never known anything recent to be just mdma. Except the drug itself.
I have known someone that was left with a permenanat hangover but believe dehydration was a factor. His has been like 6 years sry to say.

Just to add imo it doesn't sound like poisoning. Metals or otherwise. Mdma makes some ppl sick or stomach cramps. Saw a girl get given about 0.7g and then throw up for 2 days. Then a week to recover. Using same stuff everyone was on. Same with guy I mentioned earlier same pills different ending with his 6 Yr headache

there was a few times where i took some molly, about 6 to 8 years ago, where i'd feel fine the next day, slight hangover, all normal - but then the 3rd day, i'd get super nauseous - im not one to puke - but i'd of rather puked - stomach felt horrible for 2 days - but the 1 day, really bad

i'd say that happened at least 3 or 4 times - and it put me into retirement unless somebody comes along and says "dude you really gotta try this"

but yea i bounced back from it a couple days later - nothing prolonged....

how bout a covid "vaccine" - did you get one of those somewhere around the same time?

This has been around long before the vaccine. In fact if anything it’s gotten better in recent years, mid ‘10s it was at its worst. I hardly see the LTC thread these days in comparison to back then we’d have people on all the time with a new story.

What would happen to somebody theoretically who might have given themselves mild to moderate serotonin syndrome, oh say, like.. prolly 50 (maybe even way more than that) times in 10 years?

After a few experiences, I've come to the conclusion that the "throwing up, chills, confusion, sweating, burning sensations, ataxia, etc.." that I've gotten numerous times on high dose serotonergic drugs (like DXM, methamphetamine, antidepressants, etc.) was most likely serotonin syndrome. In fact the feelings & sensations feel almost identical no matter the drug. Thankfully I had benzos available for most of these experiences and usually would always take one when this would happen. But some of them back in the day I just had to ride out.

Never had the symptoms long term that OP has, but I do have myoclonic jerking & parkinsons-like symptoms that come & go for the past 8 years. Had an abnormal EEG but "normal" catscan. I also have some mystery fibroymalgia/chronic fatigue issues, but that could be from many things, including the fact that I had mono as a teenager.

Apparently I'm in "healthy" shape, but I can't imagine that it's good for the body or brain.
