Benzos Ketazolam? WTF is this?!

Hi Bluelighters,

Browsing the internet, I discovered a new anxiolytic that I had never heard of: ketazolam. It appears to have the three basic properties of benzos: anxiolytic, hypnotic, and muscle relaxant. So in theory, it doesn't sound bad at all. It is a bit expensive but if you guys tell me that it is good I am willing to fork out that amount of money.

So what has been your experience with this benzo? Have you ever heard it at least?

I’d imagine that per mg that could mean weaker too. Just going by my Vyvanse, 70mg lisdex the prodrug becomes 20-something mg dex in the body. Pro drugs are also not really “abusable” so no IV or anything. Benzos are fine orally anyway but I know that people IV flualp and things.

Yeah it's one of my favorites too. I imagine that being a prodrug takes much longer to take effect, right? I also realize that demoxepam is the metabolite of Chlordiazepoxide / Librium. Another underrated stuff imo. The thing is, this Ketazolam comes in 30mg but I imagine only a third or maybe even less turns into diazepam.

But although I do not know if it is worth much since here the diazepam (20 tablets) costs about 1 dollar and is another thing more than 20 dollars for 30 tablets. I'm new to benzos and I didn't know there were pro-drugs and stuff. What about clobazam? Another weird thing I found in a drugstore. Apparently another benzo from the late 60s.

As a general rule of thumb, if you're new to Benzos, keep yourself new to them. Save them for extreme situations only. If you're just looking for something to take the edge off, then the combination of Magnesium and Taurine will work just fine. Try it.

Yeah man thanks for your concern. I have heard scary stories of benzos withdrawal. This time I only use them to avoid seizures from other drugs and maybe something for a boring night. At least in the past I took for more than 1 month daily alprazolam (Xanax) and I did an ultra fast taper with diazepam and it was easy cake.

The first time is always the easiest time. But much like alcoholism, it gets increasingly harder to stop each time you go back to it. It's called the kindling effect.

The good news is that unlike with Benzo dependency, it's not particularly dangerous coming off opioids. It may feel horrendous and you may be convinced that you're dying, but you're not. Like Benzos however, the withdrawal can be protracted and recovery can be slow. The best way is to gradually wean yourself off. Don't worry about the cuts being too small or the progress feeling too slow. Keep a log of your reductions. Every reduction you make is a success, no matter how small the reduction is. Set targets for yourself and reward yourself for each new target that you hit.

Many people have kicked the opioid habit and you're no exception. It's a difficult road ahead, but it's far from being impossible, even if it's seems that way right now.

Yeah. At least I have never felt such a great physical withdrawal or maybe it is because I take weak opioids. But psychological withdrawal is strong, you don't feel like you're going to die, but you end up thinking about suicide as the only way out.

Why don't you like diazepam bro? I feel like it's fucking weak, compared to Xanax or Klonopin, but its effects last all day and even until the next day sometimes I feel its effect.
