Travel Locations you want to visit

I’ve got only two travel goals left.

I want to ride a horse and lead a packhorse across Iceland and camp along the way for a couple of weeks. This adventure totally drug free.

The other one is to walk 5-600 miles of one of the Christian pilgrimage trails in Europe like the Camino de Santiago. It takes about a month and I want to take a 300 ug dose of acid before breakfast every third day or fourth day staying just on the right side of tolerance. It will be a spiritual pilgrimage even though I’m not a practicing Christian.

Berlin is so not worth it. I travelled to Berlin by train for 11 hours and I was so fucking excited. It's just poop. The whole city. Reichstag was kinda cool, but you need an appointment to get in, and it costs a lot of money. The Wall is gone, it stinks, it's loud and it's fucked up. Every house looks like shit, the people look like shit, and it's so damned noisy.

If you want to see Germany, you gotta check out the South or the North, everything in the middle is fucking ugly flatland with even uglier cities and a less than desirable architectural style.

@ topic: I want to go to Norway and see the Aurora Borealis.
It (Berlin) is intriguing if you have an interest in 20th century history, as a lot of stuff went down there during WW2, the Cold War etc. imo it’s cool as you walk from the western part of the city to the eastern part, with the change in architectural style, place names etc reflecting the socialist influence. The DDR museum is kinda neat, one of only 2 museums I visited in Europe (the other being the obligatory Louvre). Lots of nightlife too. Those are my fuzzy recollections of it...as far as European cities went I preferred Prague but, Berlin was worth checking out too I thought, I took a bus tour with another tourist from Mexico City and it was actually pretty fun!

I haven’t done the tourist thing in a long time but I wouldn’t mind doing it again. Ps the northern lights are overrated! Lol jk, hope you get to see em at some point

I mean ofc it's person of view, everyone likes different things. I hated Berlin. Junkies lying on the streets everywhere, some half dead in a dark ditch, drug dealers everywhere, punks inside the banks. Fuckin pisshole ^^ Also I'm more of a 19th century kind of guy, so Weimar was much more interesting to me historically

I used to really want to go backpacking in Laos. Mostly that is because when I was considering doing it 18 years ago I read that it is most likely the last place in the world with real, traditional opium dens with the traditional pipes and everything.

Now that I've been to the Philippines I don't really see the need to spend the money to go to Laos even though I'm positive Laos is a completely different experience.

Philippines is the strangest Asian country. EVERYONE is Catholic and they all know English. I highly doubt that the rest of Asia is like that. I was at two different airports in Japan and the people working in the airport didn't even speak English much less idolize Americans and America the way Filipinos do. I mean Philippines was a US territory until after world war II.

Travel goals 🙌.

My only one right now is not to take a trip into one of their profit cage institutions that don't rehabilitate you.

I would like to visit Germany because it is an incredibly beautiful country, which beckons me with its mountainous expanses and castles of antiquity. I have seen several reports about this country and realized that this is where I want to go. I found a few options to get there, and the most interesting option was db fahrplan. I think you might be interested in it because it is possible to find a lot of emotions, inspiration, and feelings on the road. I think that is the primary purpose of such trips in which you can accumulate a lot of memories.
Awesome half German makes me long to see it one day. If only I could start paying electric and gas here first.

id really like to go to bhutan..

Well, the South is beautiful.
Don't go up North, it's flatland meets ugly towns. Much was bombed to bits and pieces during WW2, hard to find something beautiful up there.
The South is the face of the Gods, fucking beautiful. I've travelled a lot and I haven't found something more beautiful than my home (sorry :/)

Russia just seems like it'd be amazing. I guess getting a visa is the only issue, though I guess anybody can get one (I have no record and I have an updated passport). I really have no interest in going to Moscow but I guess I'd have to go there first and figure out where to go from there, like St. Petersburg (as an example). I'd really like to visit Siberia though. It seems like such a melting pot of different cultures and religions. Besides that, the landscape looks incredible; based on photos anyway

Has anybody here been to Russia?

Why not Moscow? any idea of all the things you would miss? The diamond fund inside the Kremlin is the craziest thing you will ever see... maybe.

U say u're not interested in urban places but if u want to really experience russian culture, Moscow is the place! My home, Siberia, is like you said, a melting pot of cultures, and SPB is full of europeans and tourists! if you go to SPB do NOT miss a place called Petergoff please!
