Lysergamides The Small & Handy 1V-LSD thread

Well, I am from Eastern Europe, we don't have....legally prescribed amphetamines here like you guys have in US, so I don't really know what Adderall or Vyvanse really is. We used to have that niche industry in the socialist times (long story), so what happened after the regime collapsed, many of the people that were employed there went on working for the criminals, good side of this being they knew how to produce it good and pure. It was very popular here circa 90s - beginning of 00s but AFAIK it gradually got replaced by the shady self-taught chemists' meth. I am not sure whether I can find it even if I want to nowadays (not that I bothered anyway). TBH sometimes I miss it, it was fun though also evil. Maybe I would be using it now in a more responsible manner as compared to then, just like with M, which I abused quite a lot too back then.

Meth, like any other chemical, is an inanimate object. It isn't evil. That's superstition.

I'm sure you would. People generally become more responsible as they get older, so it stands to reason.

What country are you in?

As to Adderall, Vyvanse, Dexedrine, et al., they are amphetamine salts mostly concentrated on the d-isomer of amphetamine, which is more mentally stimulating and less physically distracting.

That's interesting, unfortunately I don't have any idea as to whether the ones back then were left or right-handed or a racemic mixture, guess it was known only to the chemists that produced it. Never got to test the difference between the two isomers. I remember once I got a captagon pill as the guy had no amphs, but had some of those and I got it for a music event. It is a prodrug to amphetamine, to my knowledge very popular in the middle east, much less so in Europe (media here sometimes dub it as "the ISIS drug"). It metabolizes to amphetamine. Even though it was a pill, I crushed it and snorted it. It was a big disappointment. No rush and very little euphoria, even after I stuffed it all in my nose (which was certainly more painful than amphetamine). I remember I stayed VERY focused throughout the whole night, feeling more sober than sober. Wasn't as social as amphetamine, but conversations with people were (subjectively) more meaningful. Insomnia was insane too and the crash was very similar to an amphetamine crash. Is it possible it metabolizes to dextroamphetamine and not the l-isomer? Not sure, but now it makes sense to me.

Stereo-isolation outside of the legit pharmaceutical industry is fairly rare. Amphetamine sulfate, unless otherwise noted, should be assumed to be racemic. Meth is an exception, but it has more to do with the fact that an ephedrine reduction typically produces only the d-isomer.

One gets you high and the other is just a Bronchial dilator.

Oh yeah, the middle eastern prodrug to amphetamine. They also produce khat in Yemen and the highlands of Ethiopia.

They purportedly used it.

Ouch. Also wouldn't it need to pass through the gut to be metabolized into the target chemicals by first-pass metabolism?

Not sure. My guess is that it metabolizes into a racemic blend.
