Say you alternate between strains - smoke an ounce of OG kush, then an ounce of diamond kush, then an ounce of Bruce Banner, then an ounce of Northern light, to prevent tolerance

It doesnt really work like that, what you are better off doing is collecting various strains in glass jars, and label them so you know which is which and then what you do is you never use the same strain 2 days in a row, this way it helps to prevent tolerance build up.

if you are smoking an ounce of a strain i guarantee you 1/4 of the way in you will build a high tolerance to that particular strain and you will just end up smoking a lot more its not very cost effective.
For this reason i always used to get mix and match ounces , 2 strains.

Also its nice to get to enjoy older, cured weed from a jar its a better experience i find.

So how many different strains you suggest alternating between?

Even if you only had 2 strains and alternated every couple of days or each night, youd notice less tolerance increase than just using the same strain consistently but ideally id say go for 3
So, each strain used once a night? Thanks

yes i mentioned collecting multiple strains because it depends on your use. Im running a bit low lately but id prefer to have at least 2 types of sativa dominant and 2 sleepy indica strains to hand

Also there are easy ways to store these , you can get mini kilner style jars or for minimalistic amounts you can even use test tube style glass tubes with cork, but put some clingfilm under the cork to prevent air transfer, and store them in a small 'smoking' style tin

Is it ok to have 4 indica?

sativa doesn’t agree with me- plus, i use cannabis purely as a (great) sleep aid

Plus, i dont use all day just at night for sleepaid - so its not like the receptors are occupied all the time

i prefer strains that are low on anxiety & paranoia

My preference was like yours before, i didnt like Sativas or anything haze related, then one day i tried sativa dominant with CBD flower and ever since i much prefer Sativa dominant strains at a low temperature mixed with CBD flower
Indicas tend to make me clumsy or just very tired in general which is perfect for late evening and bed time but not so much day time.

unfortunately indica isnt popular around me so i struggle to get it its nearly always sativa dominant / hazes but indica is very medicinal and good for sleep , just not daytime smoke unless you vape at a very low temperature there are actually a few things to consider and one of them was CBD content of strain, the other was if it relaxes body a lot / tiredness (not good for functional setting) and lastly is if you combine the wrong terpenes at higher temperatures/smoked , it can also cause anxiety or just general unease

Interesting. What are some sativa with cbd strains you swear by

1 more thing. I prefer hashes if you know any. Cannabis is legal where i live so i have access to everything

edit: im surprised hash isnt more popular, its more versatile (can be eaten), and seems to preserve better

i am also a fan of hash, hash can contain around 5% CBD that could also be why you like it
in the UK, hash used to be very popular and was always more of a social thing than weed or skunk , it was a common sight to see people smoking hash in the beer gardens of pubs, socialising

Do not get the high strength variety of hash's made from high strength plants confused with the hash of then though, as that was made from fields of lower strength cannabis

Which cbd-heavy sativa strains you recommended tho

It works like that. My tolerance never really goes up cuz I always have like 5+ strains on deck. There’s so many different active compounds that changing up strains can definitely help to negate tolerance building.

Its not legal in my country so im not sure what you can buy i personally just get cbd flower thats <0.3% thc and mix with strains

try leafly or other strain sites and do an ‘advanced search’ to filter sativa dominant with some cbd content however be advised that sometimes a low cbd content of like 1% is reported to enhance the effects

strains ive always wanted to try are harlequin , cannatonic, charlottes web (very low thc ).

So how many different strains? Should nightly rotation of 4 types be enough? (No use during day)

yes that should be more than sufficient
Sorry to kick a dead horse - how about rotation of 3 strain- im looking for the most cost effective way to do this

oral hash is terrific as a sleep aid, my preferred strain is $300/ounce but i can get two other strains for under 200/ounce

edit: rotation strains of oral hash seems to be the smarter (overlooked) way of consuming oral cannabis - over thc extract, where tolerance develops more quickly…

yes my point was that if you consume the 1 strain all week you will definitely grow a tolerance fast
Even 2 strains to chop and change you will notice a difference , 3 would be nice and any more than that well you become the weed connoisseur of your area lol
But these strains are like pokemon you gotta catch em all

Easy answer - way too expensive.
