the market: stocks, bonds, options, whatever

Although ETH fees are down now. I just checked and am being quoted between $3 and $3.50 to transfer. The highest I've seen it is $500 for a simple transfer to another wallet. Which again, is why ETH is a dinosaur.

Now NEAR, SOL, MATIC... pennies, always. And near-instant.

and i don't see how it's any safer if it's still somewhere online - can i still withdraw from my coinbase wallet when coinbase decides to halt all withdrawals? probably not....douchebags....voyager just did that to me 6 months ago

Because with Metamask/etc, you store the seed phrase and unless someone has your seed phrase and password, no one can touch your crypto. If all of the exchanges fail, guess what, you still have your crypto. If your computer crashes, you install the extension again and input your seed phrase and voila, there's your crypto, it's stored on the blockchain itself. Software wallets are actually safer than hardware wallets, IMO, simply because let's say you have a house fire or lose the hardware, you're still good, unless you lose every reference to the seed phrase

pretty sure that's what precedes spending 4 years scouring a dump looking for the 3 bitcoin you have stored on a drive

That's why I don't use hardware wallets. I have an encrypted spreadsheet containing my software wallet seed phrases. The information is immutably stored on the blockchain, the only way it's going to be destroyed is if the Internet itself fails or the blockchain itself fails. In which case, a hardware wallet wouldn't do you any good, either. I have the spreadsheet stored in a personal cloud drive, and I also printed all of the pages I got when I created them, which I have locked up.

i bailed for now anyway - im a little too spooked at the moment - so im pretty sure prices aren't going up, and if matic takes a quick dump again, i'll buy back in and then put it on metamask

Alright, so Xorkoth is who I ask for technical info when I finally decide to get into different cryptos, obviously at their exact bottoms of course

Godspeed my friend. I have had very bad luck trying to sell to avoid further losses, and then buying back in, I always get fooled by the volatility and buy back higher (almost always). After 5 years of being in crypto, I have adopted the strategy of buy low, and hold, and buy little bits when it dips. Not financial advice, of course. I wish you luck.

i didn't sell because it was low - they're making me nervous with the exchanges - i can buy it right back right now

and i sold it at 1.06 and it's 1.00 right now - so far so good, right?

the Matic i moved earlier from kucoin to coinbase finally just showed up there....so i still have that little bit there now

i'll test out moving that over to my metamask wallet now

I want to invest into solar panel tech for the future, I would invest into Sugar cane ETFS or stocks but I have no way of doing that in my own country unless i moved to a country like singapore, america, london etc

Ok now i remember why i didn't like Metamask....all you have to do, is have my password, and then you can access my 12 word "secret recovery phrase" which is stored in the settings

Sharp dive. Then to 100K overnight. Watch it happen. It'll unfold.

it's not going up this weekend, that's for sure

umpires were wearing FTX logos on their jerseys in the World Series just 1 week ago......they're talking Enron moment right now - that's not good

even somebody with my low intelligence level can figure that out
