The 6-APB (that may be 6-APDB but probably isn't) Train Wreck of a Thread

i like the idea of including a note in the first post that a slang term for the drug is "benzo fury."

however, at this point we've all been saying the name so much that this page will likely be near the top of the google index upon searching for "benzo fury" whether the term is in the title or not!

Maybe bluelight should be completely elitist only delivering HR info to the already well informed - let the peasants eat shit & die rather than bluelight be heard whispering "benzo fury" sotto voce ;)


Case in point ACID ( sulphuric/hydrochloric/nitric/lysergic ??? ) is a fairly eyecatching name with certain connotations to it and people on here call it all sorts, blotters dots jellies liquid etc & there's no hoo hah about that.

If Joe Soapbar comes here via a search engine & says "maaaan how many of these blotters ought I drop" is he studiously ignored or given a right telling off because we don't know what's on his blotter & neither does he ?
 
Is there an auto-rename function enabled on this forum? The mods could configure it to watch for the b-f name, and auto-rename it to something else. :)

bluelight ranks very highly in google, so any mention of it will be on the first page, linking to here.
 
It's not used at the moment but if it were I would vote for it to be used purely for comedy purposes and headfuckery :D

Hmmm, well I think my point still stands. We shouldn't be supporting idiotic brand names on Bluelight, and by extension the greedy reckless vendors behind them. Every time the words benzo fury appear here they are lent further credibility.
 
Would vendors listen to emails about trying to avoid calling it by the slang name? On the one hand the slang hip-hop name could pull in a lot of people, but this would quickly result in a lot of media attention, just leading to a very abrupt end to the use of 6-APDB.
 
I quite like 'Ben' or 'Benji' :p - maybe edit the topic title to say 'The 6-APDB/4D thread'.
 
Isn't that just trading one made-up name for another - only one that nobody outside of this thread would be aware of?
 
yes. if the clarity of 4-desoxy-MDA is 'too obvious', whats wrong with simply 6-apdb?

(edit) i thought that the only advantage to a different name; making it obvious to the average mephedrone substitute seeker what this one actually is (vs. the whole 'legal high means completely safe high' idea)

LOL, all of a sudden the vendor magically changed the name from benzo fury to 6-APDB.

hmmm, i wonder what compelled him.:\

this is the image the vendor uses btw, not sure what the chemical its showing is.

At the end of the day this and any other future products will be known as what ever the vendor wants them to be known. The masses will search for the brand name and in the interest of harm reduction Bluelight should be make this sight as accessible. Once people read these posts they might change their mind on the name but there is no point in preaching to the converted

find & replace all "SWIM" with "some fucking moron"

also, i'm all for using %enzo $ury (some italian guy with the name enzo ury will be right befuddled upon googling his name someday) or somesuch when we actually have to refer to the brand name to avoid more hits in google

one vendor has already changed the name in the listing. Quite possibly due to this discussion. I really think we should continue boycotting the brand names to help avoid confusion.
 
i am almost certain it has to do with this discussion. I checked the site not 2 days ago and it was still listed as benzo fury.
 
Personally I like 4D-MD.

I often call MDXX substances MD for short. So 4D-MD it is for me

It also avoids so blatantly associating it with MDA which is not a good start for any new substance.
 
4D-MA has a nice ring to it, if it takes off like meph did people will just call it 4D
 
my vote goes to 4-D.

but can we please have some bioassays from bluelighters over 1000 posts now. all reports up to now have been from greenlighters, which doesn't make the whole thing very credible up to now.

but 4-D could sure have potential. f&b's report on 3-D sounded intriguing and 4-D may be even better.
