5htp warning label

I'm planning to take some MDMA at a festival this weekend after around 7 years off (due to pregnancy and looking after a small child). I vaguely remembered taking 5htp was supposed to be helpful so I bought some from a health food store. Today I looked at the label and it said not to drink alcohol or drive while taking the 5htp - is that legit or just arse covering?

Can make you sleepy - that's why they recommend avoiding combining with alcohol or driving, at least as far as I can tell. Take it after coming down from the MDMA.

Never take it before! Always after. And even then I think it’s best to just hit diet and exercise good afterwards instead, plus antioxidants to clear out the excess free radicals.
