Stimulants Any smokeable amp in Australia?

A guy I know says he used to get speed that came as shards similar looking to crystal meth many years ago but swears it wasn't meth cos he's tried crystal meth but hated it. I know amphetamine used to be readily available on the street in Oz back up until the early 2000s but was it ever available as shards that could be melted down and smoked like crystal meth?
