Social Are Asexual people seriously considered part of the LGBT+ community?

I don't think not having a sex drive means one is a loner. There are plenty of crucial aspects of human relationships that don't revolve around sex.
Indeed..... I hold my whole family together and surprisingly I'm probably the least selfish out of all my relationship active siblings. I have more of myself to give to others because I'm not romantically preoccupied. I basically raise my niece, my aging mother and father and I'm the only one in contact with everyone. I don't know how I haven't burned all those bridges with a 25yr opiate addiction but here I am acting as glue for normies.

If you do drugs and masturbate to get off, you're just a jerk.

Chumps and bitches too.

It's less like a movement, and more like a movie.
I know your joking but my asexuality doesn't even involve sex with myself because even the thought of sex with someone is a turnoff.

Also I don't know what kind of movies your watching but it sounds boring.

When first exploring (the label of) asexuality, I definately had a good amount of discussions that could be summed up to "oh it's likely just a phase" or "I'm sure you haven't met the right person yet."

I do feel asexuality doesn't compare 1 to 1 with being gay or bisexual, those are x axis of the kinsey scale traits (even though asexuality is on that axis as an x). I feel that scale needs another axis which corresponds to sexual drive, and asexuality would just be the far tail of that distribution.

I often wonder if hypersexuality will be added to the lgbt+ continuum.

While those "just a phase" comments are unhelpful, but depending on your perspective, life is just a phase. Lots of people give up their sexuality in their 50s-70s, so by that logic, it is usually truly "a phase". But the implication is that phases aren't valid or bonafide... which is the subjective part that I disagree with, as much as I agree with the objective logic. This is my method for finding the silver lining in the utterances of the blind

I also like your logic about hypersexuality. I think in a truly open minded society, the perception that sexuality is a spectrum and that labels are limiting will prevail. Gay isn't seperate from straight, lesbian, or bi, it's all "touching humans gets me off" in my mind. The true outsiders are those into beastiality, inanimate objects like cars, or complex fetishes like popping balloons under your ass. Those people need support and socialization just as much as your run of the mill twinkboi, if not more. Twinkboi may be in danger out in the country, but he's safe in the gay clubs in the city, whereas balloon-ass-boy is in hostile territory pretty much everywhere

so you guys wanna include dude's who walk around all day with their cocks in their hands, that stare at every female that they see, aka hypersexuality, into the LGBTQ+ clan, to help even out and bring balance to the asexuals who join the clan?

you ppl are outta control....

now let me ask this:

as a man, you kinda should blow loads at least a couple times a week to help maintain prostate health

im sure you guys still jerk off...

so what do you jerk off to? gotta jerk off to something right? or do you just clear your mind first and then jerk off?

My better jerks are dream inspired. Like good dreams to attractive women and then I'll jerk.

Porn sucks anymore. It's just not as pleasurable as it was say 10 20 years ago.

And yea, on average every three days. As little or often as the mood strikes. and you can.

Still vaginas are much more pleasant. But you will always piss off a jealous ex bf and have some drama.

Jerks and drugs.

It sounds like you read a discussion and had some sort of panic attack. Discussions don't have to be that scary, my man.

Always thought asexual was someone that cant get laid but maybe their hormones fucked . Im a sexual when doing gear and it is liberating

I've decided I'm asexual. Well, I'm heterosexual but sex with men is simply more trouble than it's worth. So welcome me to the LGBTetc+ community!!

Yea honestly I’m willing to bet a majority of people that are asexual wouldn’t be if our environment wasn’t completely saturated in estrogen mimicking compounds. Maybe I’m wrong but I feel society as a whole has less sex than we used to for this reason.

It takes a lot of effort to avoid these estrogen-like compounds, effort most people don’t go through the hassle to deal with.

I’m sure that will be poorly received by some but hard to know if it’s the truth until we can reach a place where our environment is cleaned up compared to its current state.

the plus means anything you want it to mean.

It could even mean straight white conservative men.

Just curious--- does Asexuality include opioid-addicted people who had strong sex drives prior to their addiction?

If so, I am a proud member of the LGBTQ+ Community.
Nope. That's just substance - induced lack of libido.

It's also not voluntary abstinence from sex, or avoidance of it because of sexual abuse. Asexual means someone who genuinely has no sexual impulses. Back in the day it that used to be called 'the gift of celibacy' by religious types. True asexuality as in the natural absence of a sex drive is quite a rare thing.
