Treatment Benzonatate- Anything I should know?

I got a new medication called benzonatate because ive had some trouble breathing and coughing. What type of drug is it? Is there anything i should know about it?

Apparently it is a local anesthetic, and it is used just for cough, what else do you want to know? read the leaflet .. i have never used it
