Mental Health Coming off Invega (Paliperidone, Xeplion) injections v 6.0

And my family has zero history of psychosis as well…my doctor said once your brain has had one psychosis it’s likely to have another one, that’s the only reason why I’m on a low dose of latuda. I could easily be off medication, my doctors just scared.

latuda might be slowing down your progress when it comes to working out though I recall from the v4 thread you got psychosis from amphetamines, drug induced psychosis usually goes away when the substance is stopped even without taking APS it sounds like your doctor is a little uneducated if I were you I’d get a second opinion from another doctor you’d probably be alright starting the tapering process and going med free.

Yeah I was put on Antipsychotics long before I had my first episode of psychosis (which only lasted maybe 15 minutes.) and then I had another episode which lasted a few seconds as I was coming off of Invega in the summer of 2020. It makes me wonder if the antipsychotics caused my psychosis to appear. As both of my only episodes of psychosis ever were after coming off of Invega
 
I feel like reporting Invega Sustenna, ever since the injection I haven’t been able to open my eyes wide and I’ve had almost a slur sometimes when I speak. People talk about sexual dysfunction all the time but what about the other problems it causes. When I get telling stories really fast I almost sound like I have a speech impediment and my eyes still haven’t recovered! A lot of people complain about the speech thing. It’s a huge problem. My eyes almost look like I’ve smoked weed, they just won’t open wide. I used to have big brown eyes. It’s so annoying.

This happened to me when I experienced complete loss of libido for 3 years even AFTER stopping Prozac. This was about 20 years ago, I saw many different doctors, and a couple of specialists about it. They all palmed me off, basically insinuating that I shouldn't be so worried about it because it was just a loss of libido and nothing serious. I too was asked the question several times "How important is your sexual function to you?". Given that I was in my young 20s at the time and in a long-term relationship with someone who had a high sex drive, it was very fucking important!!!! I really don't understand how medical professionals can understate or even completely overlook the importance of sexual function in young people.....

You SHOULD report any and all adverse side effects of ANY medication to the manufacturer of the drug, I worked at a small veterinary pharmaceutical manufacturing company many years ago and was the sales representative of the company, and therefore handled all the adverse reaction reports so I know how the system works (at least in my country), and the company is abided by law to log and investigate ALL complaints and adverse reactions. So it is worth reporting it.

I ended up with psychosis by staying on my computer 24/7 barely sleeping and just into crypto trading I was a reck I got mania from not sleeping and lead to psychosis I did something stupid. I knew I was having a breakout I called the crisis team they came and I pulled a knife on them in my house I didnt hurt them though I was out of my mind I thought they were intruders trying to take my mind away and stuff I thought the matrix sent them. So I pulled a knife on them then I quickly threw the knife on the floor grabbed my keys and ran out of the house and there was police waiting outside my house I gave them my keys and ran, but they caught me took me to hospital and sectioned me. And put me on the injection.

The best way to recover from invega is to force yourself to get exercise anything counts even a walk, eat healthy, drink tons of water, try and stay active in life and socialize if possible, only take substances every once in a while or not at all, and stay away from medications since you’d need to take them everyday therefore slowing your metabolism of invega down.

Damnnn thats fucked up that’ll do it lmao gotta make sure you get sleep spending too much time on electronics can cause psychosis too I feel like since it disconnects you from the real world I used to get high as fuck all day every day and just play video games after my health got really bad I thought that my character in the video games was real and everything I did in the video games was me controlling what happens in another realm I felt like an alien running a simulation of another world lmao.

ya I would get migraines especially when I cold turkeyed off the 6mg paliparadone pills I had only taken them for 2 weeks and had pretty brutal withdrawals even with the injection in my system, the withdrawals from the injection aren’t as bad though since it tapers really slow.

Ive been getting headaches everyday for a week now Im gonna assume its the withdrawal, but one good thing orthostatic hypotension that was caused by the injection is little to none now. I use to get dizzy when I get up from a crouching position felt like I was gonna faint.

Yeah that happens to me too. When I cough I almost pass out sometimes. And these coughs aren’t THAT severe. And sometimes when I get up out of bed I get lightheaded but I don’t think mines related to antipsychotics
