Tomorrow night I intend on taking a relatively small dose of mushrooms. Today i took about 300mg of tramadol throughout the day. Tramadol is an SNRI, and I've heard that SSRIs (and SNRIs) cancel out the effects of psychedelics. Is this true? If I wait over 24 hours in between taking the two drugs, will I still be able to trip?? any information helps. Thanks!

The only psych I mixed with tramadol was 25i-nbome and really did not like it as it brought back tempurature fluctuations that I was dealing with due to opiate WD with only 50 mg. It may have been due to my special situation and may work out fine as I had no discomfort that made me worry for my health, but there is serration activity with tramadol so I would be weary about interactions that may not be comfortable.

Edit: I totally missed the Q... The half life is about 5-7 hours so I do not see any problems with interactions if you take it 24 hours after or at least 14 hours.

Is this how it is ?

I took 112.5mg Tramadol just now. Within 8 hours there's 56,25mg left. 16 hours later: 28mg. 24hours later: 14mg.
Won't this interfere ?

If I ingest 15mg 4HOMiPT 24 hours from now, there's no contraindication with the 14mg's of tramadol ?

There's no definitively dangerous interactions between Tramadol and the tryptamine and phenethylamine psychedelics. The problem with tramadol is that it lowers the seizure threshold, so it's possible it might make you more sensitive to some of the effects of psychedelics, such as sensory feedback etc.

A friend of mine once took a load of tramadols and then a moderate dose of 2C-T-2. He had a bad/confusing trip which ended up with him in A&E because he couldn't handle the intensity, and he said he couldn't remember most of it. This doesn't really say very much though, because he tends to have a lot of dark and unsettling experiences.

I would just keep the dose of your chosen psychedelic on the low side in order to see how you react with it.

I wouldn't combine tramadol with anything, personally. First and foremost its a shit drug, and as SA already mentioned it puts you at risk of seizing.

He combined a SNRI with a psychedelic that's been known to show MAOI effects... Yeah, I bet he had to go to the hospital!

I agree with Roger though, Tramadol is WAAYYYY too shitty of a drug to even risk it. I threw up every time I took that shit

I was prescribed tramadol for a long time and no issues with intencity or negative reactions the many times I did mushrooms, ketamine, and mxe but I took a break from stuff like lsd, 2cs, mdxxs, when I was prescribed it since I know it an cause bad interactions with mdxxs and heard it may with lsd and 2cs.

Please note I am not claiming the combos I did are 100% safe I am just saying they did not cause any issues with me and I have not heard they can.

Thank god I am no longer prescribed that garbage because my current doc has enough common sense to know that stuff is useless for some one in my situation.

I've heard reports of people having seizures from tramadol by itself, and tramadol in combination with other opiates, so I would just never, ever take it with any psychedelic. Just a terrible idea, IMHO (to reiterate).
